Description: Damaged. These must have been another prototype panel and in theory the design is quite good from an acoustical standpoint but functionally they don’t work so well. The Melamine foam is a fairly brittle type of foam and when these panels are made, they start out as a block and are cut with a machine so two panels are created and are interlocking. Because of the L shape, as the panels are pulled apart, you can see where the foam is stressed to the point of breaking which is why these panels are in the overstock inventory. Functionally they will be fine but the aesthetic thing is another story. These panels ARE class A fire rated. Two have been made from melamine which was died with a light gray pigment. These panels are the same as box number 219.
